About Gobasco
Household money in Singapore, explained from the official sources, for readers who would rather understand the rules than be sold something.
What we cover
Gobasco is an independent online magazine for adults in Singapore, from their forties into retirement, who manage a household’s money. We write about four areas:
- Support schemes: How the Government’s household support schemes are built: the GST Voucher, CDC Vouchers and the Assurance Package, who qualifies, what each part pays and when.
- Tax: Resident income tax rates, the personal reliefs and the S$80,000 relief cap, and how family CPF top-ups fit in, using IRAS’s published figures.
- Savings & banking: Singapore Savings Bonds, deposit insurance and the safeguards banks use against scams, explained without recommending any product or provider.
- Home & health: The recurring costs of a home and of staying healthy: property tax and Annual Value, S&CC rebates, MediShield Life premiums and CHAS subsidies.
How we work
Every figure in our guides comes from the published material of the agency responsible, such as IRAS, the CPF Board, the Ministry of Health, the Monetary Authority of Singapore, HDB or the GovBenefits portal, and we link to the source. Where a number is an example rather than an official amount, we say so. We date each article and correct mistakes when readers or our own checks find them; write to editorial@gobasco.com.
Articles carry the byline “Gobasco Editorial”. We do not invent named authors or experts.
Who publishes this site
Gobasco is published by Delta Management OÜ, a private limited company registered in Estonia (registry code 16742821). All content on this site is sponsored information from that company, which is why every page carries the label “Advertisement · Sponsored content by Delta Management OÜ”. Full company details are in the imprint.
What we are not
Gobasco is not a government website. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by the Singapore Government, any ministry, the CPF Board, IRAS, HDB or any other public agency. We do not process applications, decide eligibility, release payments or charge fees, and we do not sell or recommend financial products. We will never ask for your NRIC number, Singpass details, bank login or one-time passwords.
